After that amazing song judges were all convinced that he has some x factor that does not only drives ladies crazy, with a shy type tattooed country boy that looks like a rockstar but sings country, but because he has a way of getting throguh everyone with his voice and the song. He has totally attracted the attention of the judges back then. The song that he sang was something a bit off his looks, but he performed it perfectly, because it came really from inside of him, he connects to the music and that makes everything extra special.
Mitchell Callaway believes that he has been given a second chance to enjoy and appreciate life more, now he is eager to get the most out of every moment he has got and to do the best in anything he does. Even after he was voted off the contest he's still heads up and glad for the experience. But he's dedicated not to go back to his old life anymore, after being voted off he received tons of offers from different record companies and other gigs offering him another chance to hit stardom. Local The X Factor contestant, Mitchell Callaway, who was voted off the reality show last month, has no plans to return to the concreting industry. According to proud dad David, Mitchell has been inundated with offers from “all over” eager to capitalise on his country-rock singing talents. Talking to the Guardian News earlier this week, Mitchell said a country music label had been in contact with him to make an album. However, the Nambucca Heads singer is under contract to Sony.
Since appearing on The X Factor, Mitchell’s Facebook page has been inundated with fans urging him to make an album and offering to write the songs. “I already have 10,000 people messaging me on Facebook and they have said they will buy my album,” he said. Mitchell is confident of a sell-out album, and said he had not had any bad feedback. And, if you are willing to work hard enough, you will make it, he said. Mitchell’s long-term plan is to emulate the success of Australian country rock singer, Keith Urban, in Nashville (USA). “If I go to Nashville, I will be happy,” he said. Mitchell is confident he will be heading to the States within two years. In the meantime Mitchell will be heading back to The X Factor studio next week for finals rehearsals. He is keen to head back to the Mid North Coast to perform locally and also at Tamworth, Australia’s home of country music.
Understandably, his parents David and Lesley are extremely proud of their son’s success. “We’re proud as,” David said. A well-know country rock singer at Valley pubs, David said Mitchell debuted his singing talents just 18 months ago. Mitchell had been forced to wear a halo for three months after breaking his neck during a football game. “Country music has been a big part of our family for along time, and Mitchell just got up with the halo on and started singing,” he said.
